TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Embark on a journey to three UNESCO World Heritage sites with our exclusive tour from Madrid to Toledo, Segovia, and Ávila. Today marks the perfect opportunity to reserve your private exploration, unveiling hidden gems away from the common tourist paths.

This day trip to Toledo, Segovia, and Ávila offers a unique blend of some of Spain's most significant cities, promising a culturally rich experience led by our knowledgeable guides. Dive into the heart of medieval architecture and breathtaking natural vistas that these cities boast.

Departing early from Madrid, we'll head to our first destination, Segovia.

SEGOVIA
Nestled in the heart of Spain and serving as the capital of Segovia province in Castilla y León, Segovia sits majestically on a plateau at 740 meters elevation. It's where the serene Eresma River is born from the confluence of three rivers. A guided stroll through Segovia's historic center awaits, where you'll quickly grasp why it's celebrated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The journey encompasses the Plaza Mayor, where you'll marvel at iconic landmarks such as the aqueduct, Cathedral, and a visit to the Alcázar Real — a fortress enriched with Roman heritage. It's an immersive day of discovery!

ÁVILA
Ávila, a gem founded by Romans in 184 BC and home to Saint Teresa of Jesus, is renowned for its spectacular 11th-century walls. This quaint city in Castilla y León radiates history, with a population of about 100,000, making it one of Spain's most storied cities.

Walking through Ávila, you're transported back in time along narrow streets lined with structures from various epochs, including Roman ruins and Muslim palaces. The highlight is the city's famed walls, an impressive defensive system we'll explore in depth, pondering its origins and preservation. Our journey includes a pause at the Roman necropolis for a break and some free time for lunch.

TOLEDO
Continuing to Toledo, or "Toletum" as it was known in Latin, we delve into a city rich with a confluence of Christian, Jewish, and Islamic traditions—often referred to as the "City of Three Cultures." Our tour goes beyond the usual, uncovering spots beloved by locals. We'll visit the majestic Toledo Cathedral, delving into its history and mysteries, with our guide revealing secrets of Spain's second most significant cathedral. After a day filled with exploration, we return to Madrid, arriving around 6:45 p.m.

This itinerary not only promises a glimpse into Spain's illustrious past and stunning landscapes but also offers an intimate look at its vibrant culture and architectural marvels.
