So much more than just a tapas crawl and a flamenco show, this immersive experience takes you into the heart of these two time-honored staples of Spanish culture. As we make our way through the historic core of Madrid, you’ll get the inside scoop on the origins and culture of flamenco over a round of tapas and drinks at two classic bars. We’ll also visit some of the artisans who help bring the show to life through their handcrafted guitars, elaborate dresses, and more. Following that, we'll head off to the show, where the insight into the meaning behind the music will help you fully appreciate every moment. An additional tapa and drink at the show, plus dessert after, will ensure you leave full and happy!

TOUR ITINERARY
Our evening starts in front of the Royal Opera House, where flamenco is regularly performed on one the biggest of stages. But before we head off to see it at one of the most intimate venues in town, we’ll open up our appetites.
We'll start with something para picar (to snack on) to get us ready for the evening of tapas ahead. At a classic bar in the city center, you'll sip vermouth and enjoy your first small plate as you learn what exactly “doing” tapas means here in Madrid.
Next, we’ll walk through some of the oldest streets in the city and stop at a flamenco shop that is a true treat for the eyes. Take in the colors and textures of all that one needs to dress the part of a flamenco performer as you marvel at the handcrafted dresses, shoes, castanets, and more.
After that, we’ll pass by a Spanish guitar shop and learn about the generational artistry that keeps this trade alive.
Time for more tapas! We'll pop into a centennial restaurant for some hot dishes to tide us over before the show. As you dig in, your guide will share some background information on flamenco’s mysterious roots that will help give context to the spectacle you’re about to see.
Finally, it’s the moment you’ve been waiting for! After a short stroll to one of the most respected tablaos (flamenco venues) in the city, we’ll settle in for the hour-long show, which includes an Iberian tapa and drink.
Last but not least, we’ll share our sentiments and favorite parts of the performance over dessert in a classic restaurant hidden just outside one of Madrid’s most popular squares.
